Each accessory by the Courabié brand has its own story, and the new pair of earrings in the shape of a hen with an egg is no exception. These earrings are dedicated to my grandmother Abde, with whom I spent the warmest and most tender moments of my childhood in Crimea. The elements of these earrings remind me of those wonderful times when my grandmother and I would collect eggs in a small green bucket. In the summer, I would make bouquets of wildflowers for the hens and tie them to the walls of the chicken coop to make the birds feel cozy.
Grandmother Abde raised eight children, and despite her hard work, she always found time for bedtime stories and kind words. I remember how her weathered hands carried out an endless number of tasks, and her clear blue eyes would shine with happiness when her many grandchildren came to visit. She was not only an indefatigable worker but also an elegant woman. For holidays, she would wear a fitted suit or dress, beautiful earrings, and kitten-heel shoes. Grandma would joyfully welcome relatives and friends into her cozy home, sharing warmth and love with everyone.
For me, these earrings are not just an accessory; they are a part of my carefree childhood. They symbolize the important moments when simple things take on special meaning.
